Accessory Designer of the Year

Susannagh Grogan scarves are soooooooooo thrilled to be awarded the 'Accessory Designer of the Year' at the Golden Egg Fashion Innovation Awards this week.

The competition was stiff and it was great to meet other designers that I admire who are working hard in Ireland at the moment. I had lovely chats to Ruth Duignan whose showed a beautiful tweed coat that I just loved with meters of fabric, she worked in Japan for a while and the influence is stunning in her work. Sophie Rieu of Unicorn showed her fabulous cashmere tweed outfits with the most fantasticly cut trouser suit that I have my eye on. The lovely Heather Finn was there showing her bright layered knitwear and Heidi Higgins showed her classic elegant colourful collection.

Anna Vahey of Ana faye  showed her leather bags they are gaining real popularity with their colourful leather and fabulous shapes. Intl leathers were also there but I didnt see the lovely Cathy Prendegast from Intl leathers, her bags are so well made I think, really classic in the true sense.
